I've always loved a good story well told. I grew up reading things as diverse as the Bible and Bernard Cornwell, Tom Clancy and John Masters, Hermann Wouk and James Michener and of course, some of the classic 'greats' - William Shakespeare, Alexandre Dumas, Victor Hugo, Stephen Crane, Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, Rudyard Kipling, CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien, Nick Joaquin and Dr.Jose Rizal. These, along with historical non-fiction are the stories that inspired me and fired my imagination as I grew up. I could go anywhere, past, present and future, through stories.
A little bit more about me... I am 37 ("I'm not old") residing in Dallas with my wife and our new baby and six pet rats. I've worked as a journalist, a videographer/video producer, an English-as-a-Second-Language teacher, a developmental drama teacher and I'm hoping to get some of my own writing published sometime. Most of all, I believe in the power of stories - which is why I'm here!
Stories are always more than "just stories" or "just fiction". They are the fabrics with which we both clothe our souls and the spectacles through which we interpret the world around us. I hope that you, our readers, will enjoy inhabiting these stories as we have enjoyed creating them.
